The Worldwide English Dialect Testing Framework (IELTS) is the world’s most well known and suggested English dialect capability test for higher instruction and worldwide relocation.
1st step: Nearest test center
Find out the nearest test center. It is also possible that a center that is away from your place has earlier test date available best suit for you. Keep in mind you can choose any center that is your favorite one.
2nd step: Register for your test:
First of all check an available test date. It is recommended to obtain a test date at least one month in advance so that you may easily prepare. You can download an application form as it is a comfortable way, you can also register and pay online. As usual, you will be asked to upload a valid identity document. Here you have to upload your passport, not any other identity document.
3rd step: Confirmation email:
After receiving the confirmation, submit the following documents and make payment within 5 working days. It is suggested you must verify all payment options when submitting the fee.
- A bank draft or pay order paid
- Copy of the confirmation received after completion of the booking.
- Copy of the CNIC or the passport.
Remember: Your speaking test may not be on the same day.

What should I carry with me on the IELTS test day?
On the big day, the day of your test, be sure to reach the test center before the commencement of the test because identity verification processes sometimes take a lot of time.
Do not carry electronic devices with you. You are only allowed to carry stationery and passport. No recess or break are allowed during the test.
Reevaluation: You can request a remarking or a revaluation. This is allowed within six weeks from the date of your test result.
IELTS TEST For Indian candidates
Quite easily, just register for IELTS either online or by post/courier. We suggest online registration for quick and a hassle free experience.
To register, simply as follows
- Download and go through the Information for Candidates which contains important information about the test pattern, the question types and the test results. Ielts is not for the students below 16 years.
2. Choose WHICH VERSION OF THE TEST IS RIGHT FOR YOU
There are two versions of the IELTS test:
IELTS Academic: this is recommended for candidates who plan to undertake academic study.
IELTS General Training: this is suggested for candidates to use at work, work-related training or for migration.
Read our simple guidelines to help you decide which version of the test is right for you. It is strongly recommended that you also check with the organisations you wish to apply to before you book your test.
3. Ensure IELTS TEST DATES
There are a limited number of places for all our IELTS test sessions. IELTS test with the British Council are very popular, so we recommend that you register one month prior to make sure you get a place. Check the IELTS test dates.
Remember: Your Listening, Reading and Writing tests will be completed on the ver day. Your Speaking test may be offered on the same day. You will receive alert notification if your Speaking test is on a different day to your main test day 5 days before the test.
The fee for registration is INR 12650 for test dates till 31 Mar 2019. For test dates from 01 April 2019 the test fee is INR 13250.

2 ways how to submit payment online by credit card / debit Card (Visa, Visa electron, Master Card)
Register through courier by completing the following three steps.
1 Download registration form
2 Decide the test date and complete your application details
3 Pay by demand draft or by cash (To pay by cash visit the nearest ICICI bank with the ICICI payment slip)
On the registration form, please provide a Blue Dart courier serviceable address. The IELTS study book and the TRF will be despatched at the address you provide on the registration form.

5. CHOOSE YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS
If registering online / post / courier you can pay using the following methods:
• Credit and Debit card (on the website)
• Net Banking (on the website)
• Payment wallets (on the website)
• Cash (make cash payment at any ICICI bank branch by filling in the ICICI deposit slip
• Demand Draft (should be made to British Council and payable at New Delhi)
Please note – We do not accept cash or credit / debit card payments at any of our offices in India.
Debit / Credit card used for online payment (on the website) must have international payment facility. Also, only three payment attempts can be made online against any single registration.
6. PREPARE AND SEND YOUR DOCUMENTS
Candidates that apply using the online application form and are paying online by credit/debit card:
• No documents required.
Candidates that apply using the online application form and are paying by ICICI deposit slip or demand draft must:
• Upload the scanned ICICI deposit slip in the candidate area or send it via courier
• Send the DD via courier
7. AFTER YOU REGISTER
Those registering online or through courier will receive an email containing access details to our free online preparation course – Road to IELTS, on successful realisation of the payment.
Also, you will get your free IELTS preparation book within 14 days after registration at the address provided by you in the application form.
